The primary effort of the IT Manager is to manage assigned Information Technology programs and systems for health management services which can include: population health management, practice facilitation, medical/utilization management, case/disease/maternity management and/or quality improvement activities.  The position will be responsible for monitoring Information Technology compliance in accordance with client and contract deliverables.  The Manager will be responsible for managing the Information Technology integration across several dispersed healthcare practices.

Responsibilities & Competencies…
  • Develop, implement, and manage a strategy for the overall Information Technology programs/systems and for those practices that are on-boarded. The strategy should consider hardware, software and data requirements, integration points with partners, vendors, clients (both MD and individual practices), and other program requirements like reporting.
  • Create, implement, and manage an IT Change Management plan to execute the strategy established above.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative evaluations.  Manage healthcare data and data structures as well as structuring data to fulfill program requirements like reporting.
  • Create data visualization and dashboards.   Lead teams in the development, configuration and delivery of reporting solutions which may include tools such as Tableau or other reporting tools.
  • Manage cloud-based data management & reporting.   Lead teams in the development, configuration and delivery of cloud based solutions which may include solutions such as implementing Azure or Amazon Web Services.
  • Responsible for implementing conformance to HIPPA and other common healthcare data requirements from CMS.
  •  Provide Health Information Technology Solutions Support and responsible for the Electronic Health Information Management.

  • Provide resources and support as needed to meet the departmental and Company goals and specific contract/program requirements.
  • Represent the company and present at meetings and/or conferences. Work externally with providers or clients as assigned. Make recommendations for improvements and/or efficiencies to management.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • 10 years of experience with a minimum 5 years' experience as an IT Manager for Health Information Technology Solutions Support and Electronic Health Information Management.
  • BA or BS degree required.
  • Agile, LEAN/Six Sigma Black/Green/or Yellow Belt or Master Black Belt certification required.
  • PMP preferred.
  • Experience with information technology for primary care practices and certified EHR systems required.
  • Chesapeake Regional Information System for our Patients (CRISP) or Health Information Exchange is a plus.
  • Experience working with remote environment configuration preferred.
  • Experience with Business Architecture & Technical Integration/interoperability.
  • Experience using Agile health IT Project Management and software management methodologies and practices.
  • Have a high emotional intelligence. Exceptional communication, teamwork and influencing skills that foster a collaborative and continuous-improvement environment.
